About this fieldbook
Hi. I run Automation Fieldbook, and I write it for people like my friends: smart founders and freelancers who have zero interest in learning to code, but are tired of doing the same boring tasks by hand every week.
Here's my deal, stated plainly:
- I only recommend tools I've actually used. If a tutorial says "this works," it means I built it, ran it, and watched it not break. Screenshots and steps come from real sessions, not press releases.
- I don't do paid placements. Nobody can pay to be featured here. If a tool is bad, I'll say so even if it has a generous affiliate program — actually, especially then.
- Affiliate links keep the lights on. Some links on this site earn me a commission if you sign up, at no extra cost to you. It never changes what I recommend. The full details are on the disclosure page.
- Pricing gets stale fast. Automation tools change their pricing like airlines change baggage fees. I verify prices when I write, and I mark anything I couldn't verify. Always glance at the official pricing page before you pay.
I'm not a guru and this isn't a get-rich-quick scheme. It's a working notebook: I test things, I write down what actually happened, and you get to skip the parts where I messed up.
If something I wrote saved you an hour, that was the whole point. Welcome to the fieldbook.
